Sid & Riteish Together Again For 'MARJAAVAAN'

On the last leg of their promotions the star cast of Marjaavaan, Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh visited Delhi, recently. Talking about the film, Riteish said how challenging it for him playing a dwarf, despite VFX and special effects one scene had to be shot 4-5 times to get the perfect shot, "acting and storytelling is all about eye contact, with me playing a dwarf I had to shoot with a green screen, sometimes had to stand on my knees so as Sidharth could make the correct eye contact.

First Print Biennale India opens

In keeping with its role as the country’s National Academy of Art, India, the Lalit Kala Akademi is hosting the first-ever International Print Biennale in the country with a record number of 17 countries taking part in it. The exhibition opened on 25th March, at the Rabindra Bhavan Galleries of the Akademi in New Delhi. According to Administrator LKA, Shri C S Krishna Setty “The aim behind conducting such an event is to endeavor a quest for discovering new artistic trends in printmaking nationally as well as globally, and to explore new ideas in the field ”

In an akhada run by his father with an iron hand, life for young Hari in 1940s Allahabad revolved mostly around a rich diet of milk and butter, and then being knocked down by his opponents in the mud pit. After the rigours of wrestling got over, the same boy, passionate about music, would use his lung power and coax the notes out of a small bamboo flute. “I wasn’t very good at wrestling. After those sessions, I would go and learn music at a friend’s house,” recollects Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, now 79.

Good Bye The Great Tom Alter...

Veteran Actor, Author, Theater Artist and social worker Tom Alter is no more now.. A statement released on behalf of his family said: "It is with sadness we announce the death of Tom Alter, actor, writer, director, Padma Shri, and our dear husband and father. Tom passed away Friday night at home with his family and close family members in attendance. We ask for their privacy to be respected at this time." Alter was seen in many films like Aashiqui, Junoon and Gumrah, Sardar, Kala Pani etc. He also acted in regional cinema - Bengali, Assamese, Telegu, Tamil and Kumaoni films.
